yeast... im speaking from an alcohol background (sales, restaurant management, etc) but doesn't yeast consume sugars and produce alcohol and co2... both of which are bad for reef inhabitant....?

That would be as a byproduct of fermentation. I doubt that the environment of a reef tank would be conducive to ferment the yeast. I have no knowledge of this product or anything, or effects of yeast underwater
