The pic is deceiving he's got quite a few larger sps colonies, plus a large tank attached with tons of frags of different things.

Then wouldn't calcium reactor be cheaper way to go, instead of dosing? Just wondering, since I notice my Alk dosing isn't keeping up. Maybe I need to up it a bit.

I wouldn't necessarily say cheaper as there are many products you can save money by using. for example: using b-ionic 2part as your cal&alk then it would be super expensive. the cheapest option would be baking soda and buying calcium in bulk online.

Yea I make my own ca and alk as well I bake baking soda to dry out any moisture and u can make 2 gallons worth for like 56 cents at Walmart and ca I use pool calcium just test before use its clean so I bought it in bulk 10 pounds worth for like I think 7-8 bucks makes 10 gallons lol I use randy Holmes method

Just an update....The more light you put this under, the more red/orange it gets. I almost lost all the green from the frag by putting it in high light. Just thought that was interesting.

I have a 135 DT and a 60 FT & 40 sump.
DT has 2 mp40s and a tunze 6105 with an 8 bulb ATI dimmable T5 fixture. FT has 2 tunze 6105 and an 8 bulb ATI fixture non dimmable. Both tanks feed into the sump that houses a alpha vertex 250 and fluval sp4. Fluval feeds the DT, FT, aquamaxx Ca Rx and aquamaxx BP reactor.
