Ok, I need a new chiller... give me some advice

I have a 1/4hp coralife now. that lasted 3 yrs.... since they were bought out be oceanic (central pet)...

here is a poll, i think i am gonna get a 1/2 or 1/3hp unit

Teco! Consider ordering it with the optional heater and UV Sterilizer. Awesome chiller, quietest one on your list and also the most energy efficient.

hmmm,

does anyone else use a chiller. keep the pros and cons coming.... i was leaning toward the teco anyway? does anyone have any gripes about them?

I have had a 1/10 JBJ have a 1/4 JBJ and the Super 1/2 Tradewinds. I like the tradewinds for a couple reasons. I purchased the 1/2 thru Custom Aquatic, discount since they are a sponser, I picked it up will call so no freight charge or damage by UPS, 5 year warranty, the mfg. is local (Escondido) so I wouldn't have to pay shipping to Washington and wait weeks for a warranty repair, and the external controller so if there is ever a problem with it I could run it off my Reefkeeper 2. I had no problems with the JBJ's they are local too (Inglewood) but they seem to restrict flow thru the chillers even in a closed loop.
