Hi Guys

I was just wondering if you guys keep your RO/DI water containers outside?

I have 2 of those white 30g containers and was wondering if those can be stored outside or do they have to be stored in a cooler environment with no light? The area I want to put it at gets a descent amount of afternoon sun. This is the perfect spot since it's next to a garden hose and i can run the ro waste water into my pool.

Does the RO/DI filter have to be placed indoors as well?

I'm assuming they both would have to be indoors to prevent algae buildup from the sun.

I've been buying water from the LFS but it's a pain to be lugging around all the time plus I've been getting 5-10ppm and up to 50ppm TDS from the store's RO/DI water!

Thanks for your input

My RO/DO system is out side and well covered from the sun. The algae still manages to grow inside the clear canisters after few months. I store the water inside but I only have 5 gallon containers.

The sun will crisp anything so no direct SUNLIGHT to anything ....

The containers do have those snap on lids so they'd be closed.

Maybe I'll wait off on setting it till I can get a shed and store the RO/DI and water containers in it.

Thanks for the input guys.
