hahahah well I knew going into this that there wouldn't be a lot of money( would cost more than I make from it) but what is important to me is that im happy I can kinda grow corals and the people are very cool, and to make a difference in the hobby since I have been doing this since I was 11 and had fish stores sell you stuff(dry goods / livestock) because you were new to the hobby or just plain didn't know any better. I felt that gave the hobby a bad name. I wanted to make a difference. Plus I would always see Chad , so popular and rolling in the dough and I wanted to be like him he is my idol! ;)

the community is what you make of it. If everyone is a lurker, the site would quickly die a spectacular and silent death. like it or not, the active members who participate (and often derail) are what keeps the forum interesting, and more people coming. I've been part of numerous forums where there would only be 1 or 2 new topics a day, and myabe 10 new posts. as soon as that's an established pattern, no one comes to the site anymore, except maybe once a week. why would a sponsor bother trying to sell something, if they can only count on a dozen eye balls on their ad a day?

for the health of the forum, the mods delete posts which are blatant attempts to pad their post count with "thanks", "good point", "i agree", "nice price", "GLWS!", etc, because those people generally are not interested in the community, but only profiting FROM the community.

i've been wanting to nuke those.

while they may seem the same in terms of forum clot, "IBTL" are very different from the padding posts to reach 20 posts.

the people posting IBTL are on the forum all the time, and are, by and large, established members of the forum. they are all known, and are not trying to reach that threshold to post for sale ads.

they're also generally people who know the forum rules and follow them (for the most part)

you guys have to bring me into this
So, Ashley, James, and I were talking about RAP, and how you were gonna be hanging out with James. I told ashley he can hang out there so i can roam around, and she asked how will she know which one is you.

I told her to just look for the asian dude.

when she asked for specifics, i had to admit, i dunno how to tell you apart.

all asians look alike to me.. -_-

You might not be able to tell the gender of a tail spot blenny, but all the blennies can! Accept it.
