There's a HUGE China one too that recently opened. Newest on the block, they were trying really hard and was projecting to be the biggest in the world. They even traveled to Indo to meet an acquaintance of mine for a Orca scouting trip to stock their aquarium.

$1 million reward they offered for a live Orca.

There's two of these aquariums, one in Japan, and one in Georgia (I think Georgia).
I went to the one in Atlanta. Although I think that one is 6 million gallons. Really cool to see the huge whale sharks that close. Very impressive tank

Id be fired either immediately or after 2 warnings of "Don't hug the whale sharks".

Come one, who wouldn't ride one of those if given a chance in there?
LOL. Same here! When I was there they also had a diver feeding everything in the tank. It was pretty neat watching all those fish in a frenzy

If you ever get a chance to visit the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta be sure to take the behind the scenes tour, it's well worth the extra money. The tank is even more impressive from above but you only get to see it if you take the back stage tour.

Going behind the scenes at large public aquariums is super cool. I'm lucky I get to spend 4 nights a week behind the scenes at The Aquarium of the Pacific. The Georgia Aquarium is on my list of places to go, its one of the best in the world.

You ever happen to see Blackfish? I'd be weary of buying from Seaworld.

In other news, who wouldn't love to deal with noob threads like "HALP MY ORCAS KEEPS KILLING MY WHALE SHARKS!". Zoa / Orca tank. And finally an adequate sized aquarium for a yellow tang. I'm only like 2-3 lottery wins from that dream.

Seaworld can't breed them anymore and the shows are ending. Their #1 attraction are the whales so there's no way they can sell 'em to China, they got their own network of parks to maintain livestock for.

They need to keep the whale shows going forever. Those shows are significant in showing the next generations how important conservation is. No more whale show, kids will grown up not giving a cr@p about Orcas and marine pollution.

sea world needs to get rid of all their whales and dolphins... it's horrible that they have them in aquariums... they can figure out other ways to get people in... without them... the days of the circus shows should come to an end... animals should be seen in their natural setting, not jumping through hoops, or jumping out of water...
