Hey Guys,

Next Saturday is the March MASLAC meeting and it's going to be in Van Nuys.

Was thinking about having an open house / open tank after the meeting.

It's been a little over 2 years since my last disaster. My tank is looking pretty good, and you never know when something might happen. So I wanted to share/show off while things are happy.

Not selling anything. But I have plenty in the outside frag tank to give away or trade. Everyone that comes can go home with some of my magical pulsing xenia.

Here is some video shot this past week - Video is shot in HiDef - So if it looks fuzzy click the HD button

Let me know who, if anyone, is interested in coming by after the meeting.

MASLAC always welcomes everyone, so if you're not a member come find out if you want to be a member. And if you are a member of any other So Cal Club, your always welcome to attend a MASLAC meeting.

The March 12th meeting is going to be held at Unique Corals in Van Nuys. I am not sure what the time or topic of the meeting is we need Brent/Chefzilla to chime in.

My house is less than 10 minutes from Unique. Once we know the time of the meeting, we can figure out the Open house time after the meeting :)

CoralComander,

As long as you flush when you're done in the bathroom, and promise not to reach into the tank and try to pop things into your pocket.... Everyone is invited. (Typed with a hearty smile and chuckle)

Made the drive from the OC last time Dave had an open house. Gonna do it again. If you are on the fence about this, don't be. Just go.

MASLAC is alive....again?

Hmmm, my first Xmas party was a MASLAC one aboard the Queen Mary.

'tiss where we met Judge Jim Otto and his wife for the first time and been best of friends ever since

oh God, is that 2002? I'm older than dirt! (sigh)

but still younger than Jim Stime, whooohooo!

MadMax -- Yes MASLAC has been resurrected. The SFVR club that Brent/Chefzilla founded has been renamed to MASLAC and is now a member of MASNA. Same name, a few of us oldtimers are members.

SFVR is not the same as MASVC is it? Just curious as I haven't heard much from that club lately.

Looks like you've got the same issue as I in that you've only been able to keep one dominant anthia alive. I suspect that as our reefs become so densely populated with livestock (and hence supporting scavenging critters of all kinds) that the delicate anthias fall victim too easily to random opportunist attacks at night....just my theory anyway.

Madmax, No MASVC is the Marine Aquarium Society of Ventura County. And I haven't heard much from them lately or heard from Corey in awhile. I know Corey was planning a move.
