Overflow got loud......... Any ideas?

So came home today and my overflow is suddenly a lot louder. I did a water change yesterday but everything was fine after. I did nothing besides new rockscape. Here's a shot of the type of drain I have. Any I put would be greatly appreciated!!

do you have a gate valve down at the bottom where it drains? if you don't, put one there and dial it in and it will be silent fo life.
