wanted to pave my patio area and take out the existing ugly 12x12 pink pavers. what's the going price. I'm doing my wall right now and they quoted me 5$ with color. I also wanted to know how much using pavers would cost.

I need about 330sf.

If there's already pavers down, that means the base was probably prepped already with road base and sand. Just pull the old pavers out and lay new ones. Olsen pavers in San Juan Capistrano has the best deals.

Are the existing pavers even and flat or are they I'll wonky? They can do some pretty cool things with cement and color and impressions and it's much easier to clean without "seam" lines.

do it yourself..? it's so sinchy... get some 1x5"s or whatever, stake it up, mix it up, lay it down, level it out, and do stuff to it... like with a broom or something...

it's seminstraight but lots of bumps due to my huge tree out back. I'll be cutting it down before getting it done so it doesn't do anymore damage. I inquired about stamping the cement but they wanted a lot more since they had to rent the stamps they said.

it is prepped . I fixed a little area and there was sand there. but I couldn't get it to fit perfectly since it was in the middle. fit was too tight.

When I got prices, stamped concrete was $10/sq ft minimum. Pavers are around $13/sq ft.

I was just talking with my buddy as he is in the same boat. He got quoted pavers installed for $10.50 psf... not sure on the type of paver though.

My other friend did it himself... its a lot of work.

Sinchy...ya right. 400 sq ft of concrete is a lot. You're looking at 200+ 80lb bags for a 4" slab. I have a guy that does concrete. I poured 1000sq ft in my backyard a few years ago. 1000 for the concrete and pump, 400 for him and his guys to finish. I did the forms myself, and saw cut it the next day.

so then 5$ is deal then? I don't know what!t Biut concrete. apparently there's different grades. I asked him and he said idk. let me ask my dad. but I did make sure there would be rebar. maybe it's thin. how thick of a slab is 10$/SF? maybe they're quoating me 5$ BC it's thin. but these guys are doing a job for me since my uncle is a contractor. I'm doing my block wall right now for 65$ a foot. that's with 1 extra block of height. of course my half will be cheaper. not sure what my uncle contracts them at. but it's legit. wall is super straight. and only 2 guys doing the whole 100foot. mexicana are talented. I dint care what trunk thinks.

For just a plain 4" slab, $5/ sq ft is not a very good deal. Does that include demo of the existing pavers? You can probably find a better deal. For a patio they probably wouldn't use rebar, most likely wire mesh.
