I bought some peppermint shrimp to clean up some aptasia. Now that the aptaisa are gone I have caught one them trying to open cleaner clams. Actually had it's leg caught in the shell. Then I caught on the back of my brittle star. I do not know if it was just cleaning the star or was up to something more malicious. Has anyone had similar experience.

Here is a picture of the shrimp on the back of the star.

I would keep an eye out but dont worry too much just yet. I have seen mine lurking around munching detritus off various things, between coral etc. Once Aptasia have gone they adapt to eating flake and frozen food in time. Glad they got rid of your aptasia first tho, many of them just go straight for the frozen food and ignore the aptasia.

They go crazy at feeding time. I have found some empty cleaner clam shells. My suspicion is the shrimp got to them. May need to find a new home for them.
