I recommend peppermint shrimp over copperband butterfly fish, because I found out that some butterfly fish will eat aiptasia and some won't, this is true about peppermint shrimp also. But the COST of fish vs shrimp are a staggering difference. So the more fish, or shrimp you have the better you chances are on getting rid of aiptasia. I purchase five peperment shrimp about 1 1/2 weeks ago and I am very happy, almost all of my aiptasia is completely gone!!! and I was infested! Now I am down to about 5 or 6 left, and should be completely gone in another week. I am so Happy:congrats:

I agree with the Copperbands, I bought a nice Australian CBB from DD section of liveaquaria. It was doing great eating, Mysis, Brine, Rods, blackworms, bloodworms like a pig. One day, it stopped eating and then less than 24-hours later it was dead. I had it for a couple months, at least it did eat all the aiptasia too.
Are you peppermint shrimp eating the big aiptasias? If so, I think you are lucky...

I bought 6 peppermint shrimp from CFM a couple months ago, a few died, and the remainder don't seem to be eating any aptasia. I'll give them some more time.
