Please nominate new mod

All our mods have been doing a good job, but like me, not all of them can monitor the forum 24/7. Please nominate a person that you think will make a great mod. At the end, I will setup a poll to select our new mod. Of course the person nominated must want to mod. In order to qualify for the poll, the candidate must have at least 3 votes from different members of at least 10 post. Sponsors and members with a history of run ins with the law can not be nominated. Thanks everyone.

I (Charles) am on the board daily and at odd hours so I can keep an eye on the board overnight when the spammers and drama tend to strike.

I usually have my own screen name but never bothered to set one up on SCR. I'd love to have the ability to delete pornspam as soon as we see it rather than having it sit on the site overnight for the world to see

So I just cancel my paid sponsor, would that solve any issue ?

So what you are saying: Since I help paid sponsor and this site and since I want to becoming a mod so I can enforcing the rule and regulation. It's conflicting interest ? If I am not wrong Roger from tunze, he is a sponsor and a RC mod ( there are more )....I don't see any inflicting of interest there.

So I guess helping out this site is really a conflict of interest; I guess I better stop supporting this site.

i also suggest that you get several more moderators. have a dozen... that way they can spread out the load...

If you think you need 4 mods, then get 8, or 9

I also suggest you have an odd number of mods, so if it comes to a 'vote' of some type, you can get a majority...

I'm not terribly interested in moderating conversations but there should always be at least one person online with the power to remove pornspam etc and end nasty arguments.

I do agree with Daniel that there is a conflict of interest when a vendor moderates a forum, it can lead to anti-competitive concerns if the competition feels like the moderator/vendor is censoring their product/store while simultaneously promoting their own.

That being said, I'd still like to have some moderating power to remove spam in the night shift hours when I am typically online so it doesn't get seen by new visitors & family/children.

I don't see any issue if vendors/hobbiest are follow the posted policy. There are rules and regulations if any one violated he/she would get the same treatment.

I am here most of the time, day or nite; I am at the shop during the day from 12-8pm and I am working at my other job at nite from 0001am - 8am so I am basicly live here.

The way that I look at this is like: I saw alot of things that going on and I wanted to help, but I can't. It was never any issue with vendors or selling stuff here. Most of the issue here were arguments and porno listing/pictures (spammers) therefore I don't see any conflicting interest.

Correct me if I am wrong, Kenny is a mod, he is a reefer and he also a vendor, however so far he has been an excellent mod. I don't see any conflicting of interest here. ( This is just one of many examples )

A lot of members here have deal with me and know that I am a nice person, fair and firm. A father of two and also a peace officer ( if that help...LOL ) so I am very confident that I can help set things straight here.

Also if this is a poll, I say lets the members vote. I honestly don't really care who get to be the mod, I think our only goal here is helping making this site better.

Warning if I don't get to be a mod, I'm probably get depress and it will lead to super madness sale...LOL

Being from military background, we always promote the trouble makers and make them responsible, that being said, MY VOTE GOES TO BERGOVOY! he sounds a little nutty but i voted for Obama who had tie ins with terrorist which i dont think Bill is...
