We just implemented a change on the club board that rejects signups that happen too quickly; less than a minute, I think, is what the value is.

oh no i did not click on the link. i just open the thread and there was naughty pictures there. i know better than clicking on spam links. they will upload virus, tracks and other things

Lots of options.

Of the default ones IMO the easiest would be the Q and A verification... Ask questions like "Disney's mouse was named?" or "What type of fish is Nemo?"...

Might I suggest changing the question to something requiring a bit more knowledge of the hobby? "5+5=" can EASILY be scanned from the page and responded to... Something unique to us/the hobby/whatever would be more effective IMO.
