This is from early on in this thread and maybe it was overlooked for more spirited posts.
Thanks for noticing Steve!

This is only my second post to this thread, but I think you guys finally figured out part of my point. Give the new Mod specific duties and don't worry about the other stuff. The need for someone that is here daily, if not hourly to remove spam far outweighs anything else IMO.

If anyone has ever run a BB before, you will understand the limitations of how the levels of editing work. For the most part, it's all or nothing. The exception is viewing of forums. Certain forums can be set up with limited viewership, IE; Mod forums, Admin forums, Beta tester forums, etc... with only approved members having access to them.

I want someone to bring some "Fat Tire"
On tap please!

Hey, I gave your post props on page 2! No love for me?

Something I pointed out privately is that even if a mod DID do something that wasn't in agreement with what is understood/agreed upon, it's fairly easy to "undo" something. If Joe Mod bans Joe Misunderstood, it's a simple click of the button to undo it... Granted, there's political fallout from "banning" someone, but I'm a firm believer in "live, learn, pick up, move on"... You have to break a few eggs to make the omelet, IOW. Hopefully any user community can understand there are learning curves and such for a place to find it's equilibrium.

Yeah, I think I also eluded to something to that effect, as well. Forums can be pretty granular in their control...

At first being a mod is "fun". Soon thereafter you might as well be hunching over a sweatshop sewing machine.
