Okay, so maybe it took 2 years but I got a phone call yesterday and finally got a new toy for my tank.

So I picked it up this am. Won't get a chance to run it till this evening, plus the lights don't turn on till after 5 -- So I will post more later.

But for those who have waited two years... Here is your glimpse at the final product:

This the box it comes in.... Art work on the box courtesy of the amazing Greg Rothschild!

This is the controller for the unit.... Ummm Didn't read the directions yet. But when I plugged it in some lights turned on. They warned me about 5x that the controller is neither submersible, or even splash proof... They know me so well.

Most of the key stuff that was in the box... None of those pesky directions, instructions or warnings in my box.

The unit with 1/2 the magnet mount - so everything that will get wet.

Depending on how late I work tonight, and how much algae I have to wipe to get some decent pics, I will try to post more once its wet and running.

Hey Guys,

Yes its me the original o2manyfish.

Only about 20 came into the US this week. They have 2 or 3 at both Tat's Tropical Illusions stores (Ventura & Moorpark).

I am in the middle of big trial, so I am can't play with the tank and videos till after Tuesday.

For right now I am only playing with the 1 cause that's all I could get my grubby hands on.

Of course when I am serious about playing with it, I am going to hide it in the rock works.

This is in my 400g reef. It's mounted with the magnets on the end of the tank at the moment. I guess I will have to stick it on the front of the tank for some photos shots, and to try to show it's effectiveness in the tank.

So I moved the Polario to the front center of the tank. The flow is pretty amazing.

Unless your hear watching it its hard to see how effective the flow is. For those not familiar with the tank it's 96x33x28. The back of the tank is covered in slab rock, and the aquascaping has a free standing rock island on the right side of the tank.

In just a few seconds the Polario, when mounted in the middle of the front of the tank, can blow food all the way to the right end of the tank, around the island and back to the middle of the tank.

What's also impressive is that there is enough current that the food is carried all the way around to the middle of the back of the tank, before the food begins to fall.

Also when the surge dumps and the Polario is blowing right into the surge it does a pretty good job of pushing back against the surge.

I am swamped with work till Tuesday night. But if anyone is interested in stopping by to see it, after that (I am off for the next couple of weeks) just give me a holler.

Maybe we can set up a couple hour window on Saturday for people that want to stop by and see it. As long as I don't take any crap for 4" of coraline on the bottom of my tank :)

Let me know if that works for all the locals who wanna check it out. And it gives me a little motivation to clean some algae and remount a bunch of stuff that has been knocked over the past month.

Kevin/TAAM gave me a couple of magnet pumps to raffle off at MAX last April, but I can't remember if they were the actual Polaris or not. I wonder how thick glass/acrylic it's rated for.

These pumps are being distributed by Taam.

These pumps were showed at the last two shows at the OC Fairgrounds. But the first actual units available to the public just arrived in the states a week ago.
