Post your favorite fish stores and why you like them i.e. coral selection, fish selection, etc. I just think it would be good and helpful to people.

For coral i personally like Aquariums in Motion in riverside and Total Tropical in upland.

this is tuff i haven't found a "favorite" per say. for hard coral, sps, i think aquatic warehouse has the best i've seen around here, but i'm not buying that stuff.
for softies i'm gonna go with creative aquatics in oceanside. not much selections but healthy well priced stuff.

In Orange County, Coral Oasis (Irvine) is top notch, super clean store, helpful staff and extremely healthy specimens. I really appreciate when a store owner tells me not to buy something cause it may die in my tank or that they notice it is not eating right. One time one of the owners was bagging a coral beauty for me and it jumped out the tank and hit the ground hard. She recommended I wait to see if it was going to be alright rather than telling me it would be fine and try to sell it to me anyway. Ben knows his fish and corals to so all info is accurate, if they don't know they don't act like they do and want force anything on you. Really awesome deals in the frag tanks too.

I second Coral Oasis and agree with Jay. I also like Pacific Reef in Fountain Valley. I like their selection of inverts and a decent selection of fish.

I have been going to Pasadena Tropical Fish for my livestock, but I am not so sure anymore...

The other day, I went right when they opened and I counted 6 dead fish in one tank (there were about 12 total). I wouldn't think that it was that big of a deal if that tank were isolated, but it appears their entire SW system is "in-line".

Needless to say, I didn't buy any fish that day.

I think Total Tropical in Upland is my new favorite for fish. I buy my frags at CK's Fish World in West Covina.

Total tropical is pretty good but i do like their corals and they have a very nice SPS tank with decent sized/priced frags. I also like Shillingtons in Yucaipa. Good fish and prices. But corals are kinda pricey. There is a place in Apple Valley but i forgot its name but i guess they sell ORA frags and products and its pretty decent and nice selection. I have yet to check it out.

Has anyone made the weekend trip to fraggle City? It was a bust for me when I went on Fathere's day (they closed for the day) but I want to try and make that trip again. I think they are wholesalers that open to the public on the weekend. Good looking stuff on the website and reasonable pricing. Just wondering if anyone has been.

I have seen that place too and have been wanting to hit it. And fraggle reef. You just have to make an appointment there but they have really good prices.
