Looking for some high grade potassium nitrate or possibly calcium nitrate. Or if anyone has Brightwell's Neonitrate I would be interested.

Thanks
Matt

Hey Dan,

Have you used this product before? Do you know of anywhere local you can purchase?

Thanks
I'm using it right now as a matter of fact. You can also get it local in the form of a product that is available at Home Depot called Spectracide stump remover.

I was going to try the spectracide but I'm under the impression that it's not very pure and has some undesirables. Are you using it in a low nutrient system? I can't get my nitrates up in my sps tank so I'm going to experiment with nitrate dosing, I've been feeding heavy but my fish are fat and I want to find a more precise way to maintain a level of 5-10 nitrate level and low phos.

Thanks

Where did you hear it wasn't pure?

Pretty sure Spectracide would be "technical grade" in purity, this is from 99.4-99.7% pure. In all seriousness more pure than we really need for our purposes. I would hazard a guess to the 0.3-0.6% being other nitrate salts. If you are worried about the purity, then you are going to want to pick up some higher grade stuff online. It's used for a ton of different things, including curing meats, pyrotechnics, bluing firearms, fertilizer, etc.
