I got a used sfiligoi light pendant. It's in decent condition with some chips of paint that have flaked off. I'm thinking I should repaint it before setting it up. Anyone here have a hook up for powder coating or know anyone? What would be the price range for something like this?

Or do you think I can get away with just spray painting it myself?

Thanks in advance for any ideas/help.

Powder coating it is your best bet. Unfortunately, if it is already powder coated or painted they will have to take it down to bare metal which requires them to use chemicals or possibly burn off the paint. I think the cost would be between $100-200 to do this.

If you aren't picky about the color you could also try a local body shop. They could probably prep and paint it for cheap if you were willing to go with whatever color they were spraying that day/week. THen you would get a super slick finish and I think it would be cheaper than powder coating.

you can do it yourself go to a body shop supply and get airplane stripper aerosol can and strip the paint off then solvent wipe it with acetone and get a can of primer its about 12 bucks spray a heavy coat of primer and get a color matched aerosol can and spray it

I just had a motorcycle gas tank powder coated. They striped it and coated it for $50. Ask them what day they are doing the color you want and maybe they can squeeze it in.

So I used some aircraft paint remover on the metal pieces. There's still a few spots where the paint won't come off. I'm sure if I sand it a bit, it'll come off. Is it ok the scuff up the metal prior to powder coating?

I have seen a couple of fixtures painted one was Red and one was White it really gives them a custom look. Well worth the cost i think if it going over your own tank but most any color would look good and different than black:)

Yeah I'm trying to work something out where the fixture is mainly white with a bit of black on the trim
