Power Outage - Moreno Valley

Power been out for about 3 hours now, I do not have generator or any back up plan. How much longer do I have before I start having issues in the tank?

Note: Currently at work right now, I'm not sure what to do.

Power just came back.

Hopefully I still have a reef tank to come home to. Power is out for more than 3 hours.

Not much you can do if you re not home.. when you do get home you can cool off the tank by placing ice bags in the tank (do not put ice deriecly in the tank)... also take a container and scoop up water and dump it back in... good luck

Go Home during lunch break and check the tank.

Prepare now for the next time. At a minimum you can get battery powered air pumps for around $15.00. Walmart and many pet chains have them. Commenly used by fishermen.

Is your home pretty insulated from the heat? Hopefully your tank doesn’t get to hot from this heat wave. 🤞

i forgot to update this thread, everything lives except for one emerald crab, might not even be connected to power outage.

Good luck to everyone in this heat wave. I got an EcoFlow backup battery a few months ago. Pricy but worth it for the peace of mind.

It’s predicted that more blackouts will be happening this weekend since it’s going even hotter. So you might want to pick up some battery air pumps, and put some bottled water in the freezer. If it gets too hot, just put the unopened frozen water bottle in the tank to cool it down.
