Sorry for Spelling:

Preferred Lighting Setup:

I am getting ready to purchase some new bulbs for my T5 light and wanted everyones suggestions to obtain and stimulate the most growth all around for my reef tank.

I am running 75 gallon tank 48x30x24 or something close to that.

I have a Nova Extreme 8x54 T5 Light.

Right now I think there are 3 blue bulbs, 1 red, and then 4 whites.

please let me know your best combo...

Thank you in advance.

That's bigger than 75g. My 90 is 48x18x23.

I have only a 6x54. I'm running what came with them, 3x 10,000k daylight and 3x540k attinic.

Have you tried those bulbs out yet?
They may be just fine. I'm not the technical type. My husbandry might be better if I were though. I say don't buy anything until you try those for a while.

So your tank is 48 long ? 15 deep ? and 24 hight ? If so there is no need for 8 bulbs. 8 bulbs cover an area for 30 inches deep. but if your tank is 24 deep id go with a 4-6 bulb depending on what kinda coral. also look in to the ATI sunpower they make a 4 and a 6 bulb fixture that will work ALOT better then a nova

Thanks Reefer, I am, not really trying to buy another fixture, it would be my third in 3 months.

Would it be possible to only run 6 bulbs in my 8x54???
