So I'm looking for a new closed loop pump. I had originally thought about a reeflo dart but I was looking on BRS website and found the waveline dc12000. Anyone have any thoughts or experience with this pump? Any suggestions for an external pump in the 2600-3000gph range?

For Closed loop in your range I would think hard on the Ecotech L1, you can set it to provide crazy random flow and with Ecotech live you could control from your phone. I run the M1 on a small frag system and it is a great pump, I run it on Reef Crest mode same as the MP10 pumps on that system. Very nice pump and great customer support.

If your on a budget I'd go Laguna maxflow. I had one for years and was always silent. I think they make a 4400

Back is good, leg not so much but hey it could be worse. I'm leaning towards the dart hybrid, this will give me the option to expand the closed loop if I want to. So I guess that makes $300 is my price point
