One of my favorite fish has been the Starry Blenny. My last Starry was a saint. He didn't mess with anyone. Unfortunately, he passed away in my big tank crash. I replaced him with a tailspot blenny when I started up my new tank. Now I want to add a Starry Blenny but I'm not sure if it's going to leave the tailspot alone. I have a Starry in QT right now and it kept messing with my sick sunburst anthia---trying to bite it and chase it around. Maybe it was a territory thing, not sure. It'll be going into my 150 (48x30x24).

What do you guys think?

Big tank helps, but I am not sure :)
Btw, I like those tail spot blennies. They are very funny in the way they behave. I have 1 and really want a pair. The problem is if I get the same gender, 1 will be killed..... oh well

Yeah. I was thinking that a big tank would make a difference too, but this Starry can be a d!ck!

I think you will be fine with that size tank. On the other hand my tail spot was really calm and I had him for maybe 5 years now and saw him going at it with the cleaner wrasse lately. Maybe getting old and cranky now like myself

You'd think with that large of a tank and a night drop would work out. If not they gotta be the easiest fish to catch if you have to pull one. Probably perch in a fish trap lol.
If I turn my mp40 off for a few seconds my tailspot is chillin in it.

Let us know how it goes. They about the same size?

I think he wants to be cleaned, "he knows he is a little dirty old fart", but the cleaner wrasse don't do small jobs so the blenny pissed 'cause the cleaner guy looks down on him ....Just imagination work there!

I have a lawn mower blenny in the sump for algae control but he ate it all and looks thin. I am thinking the same thing of putting him in my 50g display but I have a starry in there already. was wondering how they would react to each other. im thinking pair up and maybe not die or he will probably die in the sump.

Never had luck mixing blennies. Plus they are a pain if you try to catch the attacker or the abused blenny in your tank...

I think you could try it in that size of a tank but you would need to keep a very close eye on them. If it doesn't work out I will take the starry blenny of your hands :)
