Hey I just took mine back to cad lights and had them redrill it for me, they didn't even charge me to do it. Also Timb000 how do you like your elite 150 int? I am looking at the elite 150 sss I am still using the cad light sump that came with my 70 gal tank, so space is tight and the 150sss has a small footprint.

Also be aware that they void your warranty if you don't use their plumbing. Shietty I know.

They can tell you this all they want (and most people wouldn't question them) but reality is we live in an American Capitalistic Society, not Chinese wishful thinking. A manufacturer cannot demand, stipulate, or require the use of their proprietary parts for fulfillment of the terms of a written warranty.

There are exceptions, of course, such in cases where special safety guidelines and/or governing certifications are required. FAA certified aircraft replacement parts are one such example, but these situations are extremely rare in consumer products
