Time to setup a QT/Hospital tank as my fish are infected with ick. They are still eating but look sluggish. I setup the tank last night and will be adding medication ASAP. Going to start off with cupramine, but I recall reading about adding some other meds along with the copper to stop secondary infections. I'll also be using the tank as a QT so what other meds should I add. Can the meds be mixed together? I'm thinking maracyn plus and Prazipro????

Should I lower the salinity?
What about the temperature. I have read it should be 80-82F

Keep salinity normal. Cupramine and lower salinity = no bueno. If you go above 80 the oxygen level lowers in the water but the benefit is that supposedly the ich life cycle accelerates. Don't have to raise temp though and if you do make sure there's good aeration.

I only use prazipro with Cupramine. Maracin is an antibiotic so if you don't see any infections or fungus then it may be better to leave it out for now. Also antibiotics will kill off any bacteria in the QT which is fine but gotta make sure you stay on top of ammo, and trite
