i do httm

you'll need at least 2 of pretty much everything, ideally more so you don't feel pressured to clean the stuff all of the time. tanks, heaters, airstones/powerheads and that's about it. ideally some pvc pipes for hiding

i used to use seachem prime to neutralize ammonia, but it was brought to my attention it maybe doesn't do that, so now i just keep 4+ pieces of biomedia or whatever in my dt. then i just use one for each tank transfer

medications for most fish just require a bottle of (ideally new) 3% hydrogen peroxide and i use general cure to deworm. so for the most part the fish are not hanging out in meds. caveat being you'll want to do formalin baths and dose formalin if you want to do uronema prone species, especially chromis and anthias

Seachem prime bind the ammonia for 48 hours. Best to do a massive water change before that time is up.

The ammonia will still measure on a kit. It will just bind it making it non toxic for a couple of days. That's why prime is garbage for Qt tanks just change the water like your suppose to. I use to use prime when adding more fish then I am suppose to. Gives the bacteria time to build up. I dosed every other day.
that's not how i read it, but if you want to do water changes daily that's up to you. you're swapping them every ~72 hours, so in effect you're doing a 100% water change every 3 days. if you just use some biomedia, no water change is needed as long as you're not cramming too many fish into too small of a tank
