I got an aquaticlife 8 bulb fixture for my 225 gallon tank i was wondering if that would be enough to grow sps or should i add another fixture to it?

30 inches front to back? If so you will need more. It will grow sps but only under the light. Better to go with two.

if his 225 is 72x30x24tall then the single 72 inch 8 lamp is essentially a four bulb fixture over 30 inches of width. Its not enough. I love those dims and have used x2 36 inch AL 8 lamps on my own 225 and then also did a 72 inch AL 12 lamp for a bit. My favorite combo on that tank though was a 72 inch AL fixture that had x3 150w MH and and 8 t5 lamps

8 bulb for a 24 front to back(deep) is perfectly fine, but 30tall is going to be a bit of a challenge. Your probably going to have to keep some sticks higher then others and the light pretty close to the water as possible. 250w or 400w halides would be more acceptable with a 30T.
