Question about zoas

Hey guys, i'm pretty new to the reef world. I was just wondering if i buy zoos that are about 1 cm in size, do they stay that size and just grow surface area wise or do they grow in diameter also?

depending on the zoo...mostly just multiply and spread.

depends on the zoanthid species, water params, light, flow, placement, inhabitants and your luck...

Is there anyway to make em grow in diameter? I mean not by a lot,just probably to 1/2-1 inch or so.

They stay very small but are awesome either way

i have tried a few things to get mine to grow larger but have only really had luck getting my UC to truly grow larger. their about the size of quarters maybe a little smaller.

sometimes when they are way too low, not enough light they will elongate, but they dont spread and lose color, and ..... get a grandi or paly
