question: refugium light?

i have a cpr aquafuge 2 refugium with protein skimmer and i am using a daylight 65watt 5000k floodlight bulb (only 16watts energy are used). i don't know if that is enough wattage for my refugium. is there a general rule of how many watts per gallon for a refugium?

i know! i was going to buy $50+ light fixture. but i ended up really spending around $15

I use the same thing Melve uses. it does come out to about $15 total. My refugium kicks ***!!

ya, that's the perfect bulb choice. I've used it for years, on my old tank. Worked awesome.

i always hear about how fast chaeto grows. so i am always checking my refugium for any progress. havn't noticed any significant yet. BUT, i only had it set up since about 5 days ago. that could be why...i am just a little anxious to see my fuge get filled up with chaeto.
