Hi, I have a 92 bowfront with 2 Radions gen3, and a 2 bulb t5 setup. My lights are about 10 inches above the water, Radions are at 45%, when I put them at 75 % , I get almost 400 par at my SPS, (they are at lower percentage because of new sps). I am using the Radiant color template from the EcoSmart website. I teeaked it a bit, made it more gradual in ramping up and down, and it starts at 12 noon and ends at 9 PM. I would like feedback from those who have Radions, do you guys use the templates ? I see a new one called coral lab. Of course I want to get good growth and color from my SPS. My parameters are good Alk 8.5 to 9, Calc 440, Mag 1250, phosphates .03 to .05, and nitrates at 5. I have never changed individual colors just wondering if I could do something different to get more color, but not compromise growth. Thanks

Following. I've used the templates, but mostly just because they were there (and I did tweak them a bit). I'm interested in trying that new one.

My Tank Build

I ran radions for many years and the best growth and color came as soon as I ditched all the programming and playing with the color spectrums and just started running them at a 100%. And no I didn't not gradually bring them up to a 100%. One day after a SCMAS meeting where Greg was showing us pics of RacinJason's office tank where he ran his radion on a time. The radion on his tank was straight 100% on and off. No ramping or and fancy things and his tank was really beautiful. So the next day after that meeting I programmed all my radions for a 12 hour light period. With a one hour ramp up to 100% on everything. Then 10 hours at 100% that a hour hour ramp down to off. With in a week all my sps started looking way better
Here are color and growth shoots from after setting them up to a 100%

I run the exact setup you do on the same tank. I run a 13.5 photo period at 75 percent in a high nutrient tank

Ecotech Coral Lab setup is similar to yours for only 9hrs a day. I was curious about switching my current setup to it.

Emac909 what light are you using now? Any new photo since 0ct/Sept 2015?
Sadly no. In November 15 I started loosing corals like crazy and shortly after found a rusting magnet in the tank. I ended up breaking down and starting the tank over but never was happy with the redo. I ended up breaking down and down sizing. Now I'm running the maxspect ethereal lights over my 155
