I was finally able to get this stuff after trying for a long time!

I believe this is either Scinaia Forcellata or Tsinglanensis, tough to get an ID. I've never seen Scinaia available online before.

It does well in low-moderate light and low-moderate flow. Does not root or holdfast so you'll need to tie it to a rock. I use small zip ties and it seems to work well.
As with other macroalgaes, your tank will need at least some nutrients (nitrate, phosphate) for this to thrive. If you have enough macroalgaes, you won't even need a skimmer!

You will receive a portion similar to the one in the third picture, 1.5" long. The other two pictures are of my main colony. This macro will develop a nice magenta-pink color with good blue lighting (as seen in my main colony).

I will ship USPS Priority on Mon., Tues., or Weds. If it doesn't survive the shipping (completely translucent, melted, etc.), get me a picture within eight hours of delivery and I'll ship a new batch ASAP. (and I'll pay for shipping). I want you to be happy with this macro!

$24 shipped, payment via PayPal.

Thanks for looking!

I hear ya, had some near losses that way. You could try some calcified stuff like Gracilaria Mammillaris, G. Hayi, Blue Scroll, etc., but it can be chancy. PM if you want me to try a pack of other stuff.

Still have a few more portions of Scinaia left, and I've got some shipping supplies on the way so I can ship some bigger packs of other macros too!

What other macros do you have and what type of lighting do they prefer. I'm moving my sea horses into a slightly bigger tank and want to do more macros in there or in the sump

Hi Anita,
I've got... a lot! If you're looking for things that your seahorses can latch on to, Caulerpa Serrulata (legal in CA), Gracilaria Hayi, and Bryothamnion sp. are three that I think would do well. If you're looking to bump up your pod populations, Brown Gracilaria, Ulva Lactuca, and Cladophora sp. are great.
For just straight filler/cool macro Gracilaria Mammillaris is good, and for max nutrient uptake, Caulerpa Brachypus (legal in CA) is the fastest grower.

All of these will do great under reef lighting, with or without blues. The Scinaia will get a nice magenta-pink under blue light, but will be a cool blood red under whites only. My display runs chinese full spectrum LEDs, and my fuge runs two 17w 3k (or maybe 5k?) PAR38 CREE LEDs from Home Depot.

These all do great under moderate lighting. C. Serrulata will bleach and not do so great under high lighting, while G. Hayi and C. Brachypus does great under high and moderate. I don't grow anything under low light, but I'm sure some of these would do fine. C. Brachypus will for sure.

I'd do any three of the above for $30 shipped, portions similar to what's seen below (although C. Serrulata and Bryothamnion aren't shown!) , or I'd do the exact same pack as below for $45 shipped.
