REEF DISCUSSION 1st ANNUAL FRAG SWAP

Hey guys....
I know Coral Fiesta is in June. Then, RAP will be on October.

So, I have an idea.

Why don't we have another Frag Swap in between sometimes in August 2009.
I would say August 2, 2009

This would be the 1st Annual Reef Discussion Frag Swap.

Place: My house, Walnut, CA 91789 Off 57/60 Fwy.

I had a big sideyard that can accomodate at least 100 people.

Food: Will be potluck.

Whatcha guys think ?

Unless IMAC-WEST starts booking more booths, I don't see it happening. It's about 70% empty right now.

There is nothing planned in August IIRC, however the two swaps I've been to in August were God awful hot & I played hell trying to keep my tank water at 80 degrees.

But I'm down for a good old, beer drinking, backyard swap!!!

Yes I know I was just saying the others with the exception of Jose’s and Hugo’s swap are commercial. I really enjoy the days when we used to just get together with a hand full of frags and just sit around with a beer and talk. These big events are starting to wear me down. I will be attending Hugo’s and this as a hobbyist.

great idea on keeping the reefing spirit going. and i do agree with some to many commerical events.. i think cfm in sept afte reefapoolza is really going to drain me. but then again cfm in dallas this year is in mid november and not on holloween.

August is hot in OC...bummer cause that makes it hard to bring frags to an outdoor event, but it would still be fun for sure.
