Ok so i have a 75 gal tank with sand bottom. I am thinking of catching two domino damsles that sometimes seem bitchy and take them out. I wouldlike to replace them with one or 2 small wrasses.
They have tobe reef safe andwill be sharing the tank with 2 otherwrasses. Leopard and a yellow coris.

Needs to be peaceful, reefsafe and on the easy side would be best.
What am i looking for here or am i asking to much.

Too many options to choose from. Go to liveaquaria and check out the reef safe wrasses category. Pick a few favorites and post em up for opinions and experiences from other reefers.

+1 on the mystery wrasse...one of my favorite fish. He got pick on at first by my purple stripe dotty back, but he's doing great now. I also have a six line, and a carpenter's wrasse that showed no aggression. I have a 150...good luck

Any of the Fairy Wrasse. I have a multi colored Lubbock's Wrasse that is awesome and only gets about 3 1/2 inches. I also have a Yellow Coris wrasse.

Just remember Mystery Wrasse's are not invert friendly. Mine took out my 2 cleaners and 1 fire shrimp within a day. He often picks at my hermits. Beware.

And they can get aggressive.

I would also suggest a fairy or two, or some flasher wrasses. Make sure you put a screen top on. Fairys especially like to jump.

i really want one of those dragon wrasse.

anyone with actual experience with them? i know they're not friendly with the inverts, but do they eat LPS/SPS?

i'm hoping to get one for my FOWLR when it's finally up

in my experience leopard and yellow coris have always been the friendliest. I've never seen them pick on any coral or bother any shrimp.

If it's for a fowlr then who cares if they bother inverts or coral?

What Omar said also, do you care about your aquascape? They will flip anything and everything to search for food. Dragon wrasses look cool as juvis but can get huge and ugly.

i actually like both the juvie and the adult dragon .. the aquascape in the FOWLR will be minimal, and home made with cement / salt / crushed coral mix. it'll be BIG and heavy.. :)

Looks like you're good to go. a CUC helps the tank out nicely but you don't need to have em.

shorter term question then. would a juvi dragon be ok in my frag tank? it doesn't have any inverts in it right now. got a blue-dot sea hare, lawnmower, and a 6 line.. i am thinking about moving the 6 line into the DT though.

i'd move the dragon into the FOWLR later, in a few months.

If you don't mind your frags getting turned upside down daily then I'd say yeah, go for it.

Well my tank has lots of softies, polyps, leathers, and a few lps.
I noticed my coris and leopard are very peaceful and want to keep it that way. I hear sixlines can be dicks after time passes so dont want those, and i dont want something that will eat up my shrimp either. Do fairy wrasses have any cons like that besides jumping a lot
