I don't see a lot of hobbiest reading books as much since the internet, its to bad because its a branch of our hobby where learning can be solid and its enjoyable too:)

True. You can find anything you need to learn about your reef on the internet and very direct answers to your questions.

But I have some of these books and I really enjoyed reading them. They still provide interesting information. Sometimes it's enjoyable to see what used to work which we feel no longer works.

Someone new to the hobby can really benefit from these books as they provide the start up information. GLWS
