So I have a Reeflink currently running my radions, mps and vectra. No complains very easy to use. Just recently purchased an apex and was looking into the WXM module.

Any one here have or had both ?

What was your experience which one is better and why

Any input appreciated

I control my ecotech devices with my WXM. It's pretty straight forward and I like having the whole system controllable from one spot with fusion.

I haven't tried reef link but it seems great as well. One thing to consider are the presets in apex are different from that in reef link when it comes to the radions. I know people love coral enhance (something like that) on RL and I haven't been able to find exact percentages to enter into apex so I can mimic it.

With reef link being a direct ecotech product things seem to come around a little sooner too. Like everyone claiming you need to calibrate your radions because they are finding percentages of individual color outputs are varying quite a bit from light to light. There are simple step by step instructions on how to do it on ReefLink now, but looks to be much more complicated on apex. I also haven't found any step by step instructions for it.

Ok if I did get the WXM module would I also need a vdm module ?

And as far as calibrating the radions I did not know about that till you mentioned it . Looked into it and was actually able to calibrate both my radions with ease on the Reeflink. Can I say that it did make a difference calibrating them always noticed one was a little off .

I don't have the vdm. All my ecotech gear is on the WXM.

I can't wait to find solid instructions for calibrating the radions through apex. I know mine are off a bit. When I take photos and set my white balance the right side of my tank looks natural, but the left looks orange, like there is less blue light.

How hard was it to adjust the pumps and radions thru Wxm ..... I wasn't sure if I needed Wxm for pumps and vdm for adjusting radions

Not hard. My mp40qd is linked to my radions via the wxm. There are step by step instructions for it, not hard at all took me 15 minutes to get them all updated and linked.

Personally I just set my max intensity for the mp40. I like how it was preset to follow the intesity of my lights. Goes from light constant flow to pulsing waves and peaks in reef crest mode for the daylight hours.

Setting the radions can be as simple as you'd like or super c4azy detailed and custom too. There are presets sun rise/sunset, all blue, deep blue, 10k-20k but you can also tweak them and do complete custom color setting.

I've had both, at the same time.
Ended up sticking with reef link.
Just easier... more straight forward.. Idk.. i like it better than wxm.
