So my family just sprung it on me there is gonna be a lot of reconstruction going on in the next few weeks, theyre going to be re-doing the whole ceiling and the floors.

I have a waterbox 180.5 so its a big tank with a lot of expensive stuff in it

they said the ceiling is probably going to take a week, should I just cover it?

or honestly just use this opportunity to down size in tank?

as for the floor they said it should take a day or two max, so i think i can move the corals into totes with power heads?

idk this whole situation is stressing me out.

It’s best to relocate into the garage temporarily if possible. The dust and debris will some how find it ways into the tank some how even if you plan on covering it.

If you've been wanting to downsize, it sounds like the time to do it. To cover the tank only to still break down later (or prior?) for the floor seems like it would be easier to just move to a large bin/tote for the whole time, sell coral or bank corals with friends until it's time to set back up.

@o2manyfish

Has had some experience with fish and remodels, not good ones BTW

I'd probably cover it and have a filtered air pump feeding it.
