for 5$ I got 4-5 mushrooms I got in on two small rocks, one rock had 1, the other has 3 or 4. I counted 4, but now I only see three, it was hard to see in the bag, but it could also jsut be on the other side of the rock.

Anyways, one, and maybe the second are very small, the third is meduim, and the forth is bigger then the entire rock when all opened up. I want to remove one or two and put them on different rocks to get stuff growing on them, and so i can face the other mushrooms up, so i can see them, and so they can get light.

Anyone have any tips on removing them?

I'd like to know how to remove mushrooms too. I have one that randomly grew onto a large rock that weighs around 30 lbs.

i have a snail shell that has 2 on it, ones really small, the other is small-meduim, i just added two crabs to the tank, do you think they'll take the snail shell? would it be bad for the mushrooms on the shell? ha. It would almost be cool to have my mushrooms be moving around, but if it'd be bad for the mushrooms i'd rather just remove them now the same time as the others.

probably the best way to do it is much like zoa's. get a knife and dig under the shroom, the rock should be soft and just give. just be careful not to cut the shroom, but if you do, not too big of a deal, finish cutting off the hood and the base will grow a new one, and the hood will grow a base. use mesh netting to hold it to the rock for a couple of weeks till it attaches itself.
if you chip of a bit or rock still attached to the base of the shroom, just glue that bit of rock to the rock you want it on. don't let the glue touch the shroom, they don't like that.

1)Remove shroom w/ clean razorblade
2)Place shroom in shallow container in tank w/sand-low flow
3)Leave in container 1 to 2 weeks so head can attach to sand
4)Once attached to sand just glue sand to rock
This is what I did w/ my Ric and cool thing is the base of the mushroom where I took my Ric from is growing into another Mushroom.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice you two :]

Whats the "hood" of the mushroom? I don't know tons about saltwater, just done lots of reading on "how to". All my other tanks have been freshwater. Except for my very fish one, when i was 12 or so? dont really remember. But you can image how well a 25gallon eclipse tank went with like 8 damsels within a month and no live rock or anything. didn't even have a salt meter, i just used the recommended dosage of salt mix.

And the other part/the bottom is.. the foot?

can i just cut them apart on purpose to get more shrooms? is there a risk they wont grow back?

yes if you cut the hood off and leave the foot, both will grow into shrooms. you can also divide the hood into several pieces which will all become shrooms, but you must have pristine water conditions so they will heal without infection.
