Anyone have a sump or fuge on reverse photoperiod (lights on at night, off days) and place a fish in there long term?

How did the fish do... for example, did it turn your mandarin into a red-eyed psycho lunatic killing machine?

Im settting up a fuge...

you're supposed to have a reverse cycle if you have a refugium... that way oxygen levels don't drop as much as normal, also helps with PH swings... a bit, not really a lot... depends how much live rock is in there...

I have my fuge on for 24 hours and works well with the cheato. Ph is super stable and i have cocopods galore. i will put it on reverse cycle soon just save electricity but for now just want the cheato to grow fast.

it prob also depends on the fuge volume, whatever else is photosynthesizing in there...

I was just wondering b/c my son had a Beta fish that died because we suspect he left the light on 24/7 in its betabowl...

I just chuckle at the tought of a red-eyed insane mandarinfish... I love/hate fish...

I have 3 or 4 yellow line gobies in my fuge. 24 hours light down there. The seem ok so far it's been a few months. There is rock and macro for them to hide in and sleep.
