Ro/Di filter replacement

I have a Spectrapure Maxpure 90 gpd approx 6 months old.. i checked the Tds and its measuring 13 is there any brand thats better than another or are they pretty much all the same?

my opinion Spectrapure is the best there is. the the housing is pretty much the. same.
example if you were going to use another type of filter, its like putting a civic engine in your ferrari body.

I dont make tons of water and 6 months seems a little premature to change out the filters.. guess it depends on the water its filtering though? I should probably cross check it with bottled water?

Well i do make water for friends/Scr members so maybe i do make more than i remember hahaha. Maybe 75+ month ?

Hahahaha well chad (CG) usually has pre filters on hand. You probably don't need a membrane if it's not that old (1-2 years). Could be worth it to pick up another TDS meter to see TDS between inlet at hose an after membrane

You should change the sediment and carbon every 4 to 6 months regardless of how many gallons you make. The di should be changed when you are between 5 and 8 tds unless you are anal. The membrane should be changed when you lose 10 psi on your gauge or your tds is higher than 15 coming out of the membrane.

No Psi loss has always been 40.. do you have the filters in stock Chad?

You should consider a booster pump lance. 40 psi is low. If you raise it to 80-100 your efficiency will boost big time

just get replacement kit from marinedepot that's what I do. But I also get another .5 sediment filter. I actually just swaped mine out today for new ones.
