A. How long the RO membrane last?

B. What will happen if inlet pressure is lower than the minimum required without the booster pump to supplement the pressure?

C. Will this affect and changing the filters often than it should be?

D. Will the booster pump prolong the membrane and filters if this water pressure meet its requirement?

E. How bad this will affect the water ratio of clean filtered water and the waste water?

Hope this will help everyone will less knowledge with there own filter system including me.

Thank you.

Membranes can last a year plus. This depends on the quality of the membrane, booster pump, back flush, how often the pre filters are changed, and other factors.
If your inlet pressure is low your water production will suffer and your filters won't last as long.
Low pressure won't affect your pre filters, but will affect your membrane.
Booster pumps improve all aspects of the water making process, improves filter life, and water production including waste to product water ratio.
It can affect the ratio by as much as two gallons of waste water more than it should be.
Hope this helps.

Thank you. Now I need booster. Recently my water pressure change since the city fix something with there water line. My water pressure is 8psi lower than the recommended and change filter 3 months ago. Just notice this after I change my filter.

Also make sure you have an auto stop. It looks like at little square box with four hoses coming out of it. This keeps water from going through your membrane when your not making water.

A. How long the RO membrane last?
2 to 5 years is typical, but we have a customer who has been going through them in 2 WEEKS, and another that has had the same membrane for almost 10 years.

B. What will happen if inlet pressure is lower than the minimum required without the booster pump to supplement the pressure?
There's really no such thing as the "minimum required pressure." As pressure decreases, so will performance. The lower the pressure:
1. The dirtier the RO (not DI) water.
2. the slower the RO water is produced
3. The more water you'll send to drain (unless you change the flow restrictor).

C. Will this affect and changing the filters often than it should be?
Sorry - I don't understand your question

D. Will the booster pump prolong the membrane and filters if this water pressure meet its requirement?
It could. But generally that's not why you add a booster pump.
E. How bad this will affect the water ratio of clean filtered water and the waste water?
Water pressure significantly affects this ratio.
