How often do you guys change out your RODI filters on your units? Do you guys change it as soon as the reading is not at zero anymore?

I change my sediment filter the most, whenever it turns brown or the inlet pressure drops 5psi, means filters are full. The DI resin gets replaced when half has changed from green to brown color or TDS hits 5ppm. Carbon every 4-6months depending on how many gals ran through the unit, and RO membrane about once a year. Any time I see the inlet pressure drop or ppm rise I check all filters, and replace accordingly. Coral gazers has all filter replacements!!

Thanks for the reply! My psi is still the same but the reading on the meter says 4(IN) and 1(OUT), so I wanted to know if it's still ok to use. The RO membrane is still white and the DI part hasn't really changed colors. Are the readings from the TDS meter ok or is it time to change it out?

Your sediment filter is still white you mean. You can't see the RO membrane, it sits horizontally inside of a plastic housing on top of the 3 filters.

I'll just change all 3 filters for you. Sediment, carbon and DI.

If its white its still ok, if you want perfectly clean water, change it when it hits 5ppm on the out, or 10ppm if you want to extend the life a lil...

Yes if sediment filter is still white that means its still good, they turn brown or yellow when exhausted. But its so cheap that I replace every 6 months regardless of its color.

Your basically replacing your prefilters to prevent damaging your RO membrane. Your carbon filter is filtering out chemicals that would otherwise damage the RO membrane, so an exhausted carbon filter is not good.

I agree with Rukis, wait a while before you change them out. Give it another week or two to get some more life outta the filters. I notice that once it hits 1ppm that it starts creeping up in tds pretty quick

1ppm is a good mark to change the filters. Like REEFER08 stated, "once it hits 1ppm that it starts creeping up in tds pretty quick". And as Big Rukis stated, depends how long each filter has been in use. I change the RO filter every year, the carbon every 6 months, and the sediment soon as it turns brown. The DI resin gets changed soon as all of it is brown.

Try the Vertex Aquapure water filter, that thing is a beast and you rarely have to change the the RO filter since it self flushes every other hour.

I like to buy the 5 stage replacement filter kit from BRS. $25 and I pick up a couple extra sediment filters for dirt cheap and I'm set.
