How many gallons does your rodi system makes before it goes up to 1 ppm?

for me. Max cap 180 with 2 di resin makes about 200 gallons. Does it sounds about right? What is your?

What is the incoming TDS? and really depends on your incoming water and what it is high in.

How old is your RO membrane and is your source water coming from the cold water line?

I think I can get around 800-1000 gallons before my TDS reach 1.

Coming into membrane 247, out 80.
What do you mean by 80? Mime comes out at 9 and I think I have to replace the cartridges. Actually, when should I replace the cartridges and should I replace some of them only?

Well, time to replace your membrane. That's a 67% rejection rate 90% is bad, 95% is ok, 97% good, 99% great. your membrane is cooked, probably chloramines in your water supply. from my reading, BRS universal carbon block is the best chloramine block by a wide margin. I do really like the membranes from spectrapure. it's more money and more trouble for 2 orders but once I went with spectrapure, I will never use anything else.

Pro tip: buy the slowest membrane you need. for almost everyone 25GPD is plenty the faster membranes have a hard time keeping up with their stated rejection rate and a 99% rate your DI will last like 3X longer than a 97%

spectrapure, also use their mixed bead non color changing resin, it last longer and gets more stuff out. read/youtube if you don't know how to pack the resin tightly. It matters

sediment doesn't matter so much, it's just a strainer buy what you like

You don't need a membrane any faster than one that can fill your reservoir in 24 hrs

Get the best membrane you can and protect it the best you can (carbon block) your DI will last a lot longer and your water will be better and year over year, you will save money

Like others said, RO should have 95%-99% rejection rate. So if your incoming water is 250 ppm, you should have at worst 12.5 ppm coming out. Then the DI can polish off the rest to 0 ppm. Recommendation is 1 micron sediment filter > 2x 1 micron carbon filter > RO membrane > 2 DI resin.

You probably need to replace your RO filter. And probably change your carbon filters as well.

You can also target your DI to either cation or anion beads based on what your water is high in. My source water is high in silicates. Spectrapure also has a silicabuster DI resin, but it's pretty pricey but I was told it works really well. BRS also has anion or cation only beads to target certain elements.

If he is going to run 2 carbon blocks, I like to put a cheep one in the first position to protect the more expensive chloramine block in the next position he's at a 65% rejection rate which means it completely dried out and baked in the sun for a year or it's been eaten by
