The result of high tds is basically the additional use of di resin to remove it which will cost you over time. Check out the spectrapure 99% rejection membrane. This is remove even more tds before it hits your di. In addition pick up their silica buster and place it before your di stage to help with burning through your di. 450 is pretty high

+1 for Spectrapure, you can get a good deal from them by picking up on of their "refurbished" units. BRS also carries good units.

350 to 450 is about normal high would be 550 - 600 plus , over 1000 can be harmful to humans

I found the DI Resin for sale on amazon in 5lb. bags for pretty cheap and have been able to refill my DI cartridges for a full year pretty much cheapest way i found you can also flush your RO membrane to extend its life.
