Is there a specific day lfs typically get their stock? I usually check on weekends when I have time to actually go and they are always sold out by then.

most live fish stores get them on a weekday. Wholesalers are not open on weekends. Your best bet is to ask the owner or just visit them on wednesday. Even if you get first dibs though, most fish are really stressed on delivery day so your success chances with it are somewhat diminished. so you either let the lfs take the loss on it or you gamble a couple of bucks with the fish you really want.

Anyone know if they'll take freeze dried copepods?

I don't have anything to spot feed mine yet so I don't know if it'll take frozen mysis. When I dropped in a slice of frozen coral food it did come out of the rocks and moved around more but didn't really see it try to go for any of the floating pieces.

I didn't know you could buy them freeze dried.ibknow you can buy the Arctic pods. Just grab a coral feeding tube from the lfs. I started with the Hikari mysis cuz the dude was kind of small, now he's starting to eat the pe mysis. Training them is the only way to go, and it ensures a much longer lifespan, and a fat happy fish :)
