ok so I started the day off by looking at my tank everything looked good. came back a little while later everything was out and about I saw my peppermint shrimp sitting up by some zoas I thought it was a little odd ( they usually hang out under the rock except for when I feed ) it looked ok so I went about my day. came home a couple hours later first thing I do is check out the tank and the peppermint is in the same spot layed over dead I look closer and the belly is covered with eggs . I know they wont survive anyway. do they die when they have eggs cause everything else is doing great even my other peppermint shrimp is this normal? any advice would be nice

Sorry to hear , but there could be a hundred things why the shrimp passed and just because she has Roe under her tail doesn't mean that it is fertilized keep that in mind and if every thing else is ok, your tank should be fine

I have 3 shrimps, 2 pepermints and one cleaner shrimp. They have roe every now an then. At one point, all three have eggs and they just became fish's food or skimmed out. If you are sure that its not the mold you saw, maybe something in your tank picked on the roes and hurt the little gal?
