I am new to this hobby, and I have a question.. I have a septic system at my home,, will it hurt to dump my salt water from water changes down my drain into my septic system? I will have 2 tanks one 125 gal and one 80 gal. I live up in the mountains, and as such have a lot of trees around my house will the salt water draining in my leech field kill my trees? or should I find a different way to dispos of my waste salt water?

The little amount of salt water seeping from your septic system will not effect anything. It will be so diluted that it will not bother anything.

Even tho I would be dumping 20% water changes a week, (20 to 40 Gal a week) ?
How much do you urinate? Flush the toilet? Wash dishes? Take showers? You use a ton more water then what your gonna dispose of through your tank.

I'm on septic and I'm not sure about dumping it in your tank would be the best idea. I run a hose out my backyard and pump it out there. I have nothing concrete to base not dumping it in the septic tank except I'm not sure if it would harm the beneficial bacteria you have growing and breaking down the waste in the septic tank. Just being cautious I guess

I drain my WC into my yard too and it's green. I also drain my skimmate into my plummaria plant and it's doing awesome.
