I just got one of these guys yesterday expecting he'd be fine as there's plenty of pods in my tank... His body was fat but his stomach appeared somewhat concave.
I'm just a little confused because I threw in a little frozen brine for my hermits and he vigorously ate most of it.
I was under the impression it's impossible to get these guys to eat frozen food without "training" them to.
Did I just get lucky or is this guy on death row?
I'm just asking because when I first got into reefing I had one of these and he passed after a week.
I do not want a repeat of that haha

Ours took to frozen and pellets almost immediately. If he's eating you should be good

Mine ate brine/mysis as well. Female died in three months male has been going well over a year. I also have a clearer wrasse that many say are a "no-no" in my tank since day one. Sometimes I think it's just about picking the right fish...
