The San Diego Marine Aquarium Society (SDMAS) is proud to announce its May meeting will be hosted by Seahorse Aquatics Marine Tropical Fish Hatchery!

Owner David M. has graciously offered up his facility for the evening. He will also be sharing his knowledge regarding breeding of marine ornamental fish, reasons for choosing captive bred fish, as well as other related topics. Morgan Itzel of Bluewater Aquaculture in Corona will be coming to the meeting. Christine Seinke of Carlsbad Aquafarms will be here too. We may even have other surprise guests! There will be a lot of experience and knowledge at this meeting, so please come on out and take advantage of it!! Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
A few notes about the meeting:
1. This is in an industrial type area. Businesses will be closed by this time, so you can park in any of the available spaces at the various nearby businesses.
2. This facility is a TROPICAL fish hatchery. As such, it is warm inside (>80F). So please dress appropriately. We recommend you layer, if it is cold outside, so that you have lighter clothing to wear while inside. We will also have a table setup outside so people can take a break from the meeting itself, if they like.
3. Due to the nature of this facility, we ask that you please not bring any children or pets to this meeting. We apologize for any inconvenience.
4. David also asks that you please respect the delicate nature of the facility. No touching of equipment and absolutely no hands on or in the tanks!
5. This will be a standing only meeting (no room for chairs). The presentation will not be long, but we still wanted people to be aware, in case anyone has any issues in this regard.
