Wow so much color! Amazing tank! If this is a taste of the reef scene in Seattle, I am very impressed! Thanks for the eye candy and update

Thanks! There's a small reefing community there but not that many cool fish/coral stores. The only store I liked up there was Sea Kings. I love the reefing scene down here though! There's a multitude of amazing vendors and friendly reefers.

Great looking tank! Im a recent reefer convert after all my freshwater cichlids died moving up to Portland. Did you have any stores you would recommend in Portland? Just getting to know the reefing scene here. Moved up from Los Angeles

That sucks, I would be soo sad losing all my fish. I liked a few places up there. Its been a while since I visited them so they might have changed.

Here's the places I would drive from Seattle to go see:

Cuttlefish and Corals
Ocean in a Box
Upscales
Rudy from Goldenbasket is also here...you can buy stuff on ebay and Facebook and pick them up. He supplies to Jason Fox as well.

If you're willing to drive a little further, Salem has a few:

Premium Aquarium
Unique Aquatics

There's also a few forums I used to use:

Reef Frontiers
Pacific Northwest Marine Aquarium Society

Finally, there is a somewhat large frag swap for the Seattle-Tacoma scene that happens in Puget Sound every year called the Bob Moore Frag Swap, which I would highly recommend. It's very quaint, friendly, and you definitely have a sense of reefing community down there.

Hope this helps and happy reefing!

Cool! thank so much. I actually visited Cuttlesfish already. Nice small store but very freindly and clean. The closest store to me is Upscales. Which I have mixed feelings about. Ill try to visit the other ones on the list.

Lemme know how it goes...the two stores I liked the most were cuttlefish and ocean in a box. I will say that the fish stores in the Northwest aren't like the stores in LA, and OC.

Lol double dates are fun! 😉

Here's a picture of our tanks now! We just got another red sea reefer about a week ago because my anemones didn't have anymore room. Lol

The tank is still super young, but I love seeing the progress it makes everyday. I'm like a little kid when I see something encrusting!!! 😍

Then I give my bf a pat on the back and a kiss cause he's the maintenance guy keeping everything afloat.
