Sell frags without opening up up your house to strangers?

I have tank full of SPS coral that need to be fragged. What are some other options to selling a lot of SPS frags other then having strangers in your house? Are there other reefers or stores that will buy SPS frags that you can take them too?

I have three small dogs that go crazy when I have strangers in the house.

You can always just meet them at a public place near your house. That's what I do. If they don't respect your privacy, then they don't sell to them. You'll find most reefers are understandable.

If you do find a store that'd buy them it'd be way cheap. They deal with wholesale prices and would need to make a good profit off the deal.

I prefer to see the tank when I buy from fellow reefers, I think most do. There are a bunch of people with great reputations here that I wouldn't have a problem meeting without seeing the tank though.

Hey Roy, you can always tell them to meet you at In & Out down the street from your house. They can some burgers and fries while they wait for you !!!

Sell/Swap by joining a club as well and then just sell when they meet.

Luckily, most of you guys I met weren't weirdos so I let you in my house. But I hear you. I would want to see the frags under tank lights too.

a club is a good idea.... but having people at your house talking reef is sorta cool... i miss it, and at the same time don't... LOL... now i'm an old bitter man, and don't want people asking why i have a bunch of bikes on my walls and ceiling... lol... or why i have paintings of crazy stuff on my walls, and not one picture of my kids up... LOL...



you can go to about 2-3 club meets a month... that's a bunch of opportunity to meet up with people on a regular bases... i honestly don't like meeting up with people at public places... i hate it... but gotten used to it... sometimes, i will not meet up with someone if they try to pull that on me... well, if it's a real good deal... but when buying on craigslist, offerup or on SCR, i like going to their house... even if it's just outside their yard... i feel like it's riskier meeting up with someone... i'll get jumped or something... LOL...

I've sold to several guys on this forum and they've come to my house. I've never had an issue. There's a certain amount of trust to be given by both parties I think.

If you sell the frags cheap like you would to a lfs, people will buy them fast and have no problem meeting at your garage door. Take a video to show them before picking out the frag can also give them a piece of mind.....

I think that nails it right there. It just adds a little bit of comfort for the purchaser. Pictures also often fail to do a frag justice, so it opens up more potential interesting frags. It's also kinda cool to talk reefs a bit, maybe this guy solved a problem you've been trying to deal with or vice versa.

If you have a trust issue. I say sell it to the fish store. Or trash it. Or post Free frag at the corner of so and so. This forum isn't craigslist.

Thanks everyone!! All really good recommendations, but I guess selling out of my house is the best option.

Someone should open a consignment frag shop.
