I don’t think aquarium shops get rid of what they don’t need, it’s really more of a business/profit
Kind of deal.
I mean some of these shops have huge overhead, so it’s really hard to give any customer a discount on a certain coral, unless you have a whole runway full of them.
However, sometimes as hobbyist, if we’re selling coral, and someone is interested, we have the ability to convince the buyer on purchasing that specimen, by simply following up after the initial DM, and offering the buyer a deal they can’t say no to, without it really effecting your pockets.
I just happen to experience that as buyer, where I inquired about rainbow chalice on another forum, from a hobbyist who was located in NorCal, however his shipping cost weren’t to convincing, in which I let them know. After a little over a week, the seller contacted me, and asked if I was still interested, and that if I was, he would cover half the shipping cost. I now have a rainbow chalice, and I sent him an xtra $10 just for being such a great seller.
it’s the art of the deal! Lol
What dothers me is. Why waste a sellers time if you really don't want to buy or pay the price for what they're selling.
Obviously, We're not a brick and mortar store selling what we don't need anymore , and it a price we feel it worth to us.
Everybody will have their own opinion about the subject I just feel that why waste a person time if you're really not going to buy it
